Twelve Hot dogs When Jesus turned sixteen in January of 1994, he was already six foot two and 160 pounds. He liked the life on the ranch, except for one thing: there was never enough food. Every morning Suny would get up at 4:00 a.m. to make beans. She would chop chilis, tomatoes, and onions, and scramble three dozen eggs to make huevos a la Mexicana. She would continuously brew coffee, filling the thermos flasks of the workers as each pot of coffee was finished. With four pounds of tortillas, that was breakfast for Uncle Mo, the workers, Suny and Jesus. On Sundays, she would fry three pounds of bacon, and make hotcakes and chocolate. After breakfast, Suny would wash the dishes and clean the kitchen, then she would take a nap for an hour. After she woke up, she would make the beds, tidy up the house, and do some deep cleaning, like scrub the bathrooms or clean the windows. In the afternoon, she would go with Uncle Mo to Stater Bros to buy what was needed for dinner. The evening meal
