7/21/12: A trio of SD9043AC's head out of Proviso Yard on a manifest. Super Power I call these units...They look badass but BBM says they suck. At least they look cooler than C44-9WS!

They aren't all bad. They would make great blockers at the end of the hump!

I think of them as the SD45s of the 00's!

That's an accurate statement from Matt.. Have you ever seen these try to get a really heavy train going from a dead stop? They slip their wheels all the time!

Nonetheless, nice catch and a rare one at that. Haven't seen a trio of 9043s pulling a train in the lead for a long time.

According to BBM, the only time they work well is when it is ONLY SD9043Ms...

How long was their train? In the trains I've seen come through here with a couple of them.. The train is short and if they do have a longer one they usually stick some GE's with them to help with lug.

This was a long-ass beast of a manifest!
