Curently in restoration phase, but it's been halted since the weather is too cold for the paint to cure. Here it is as of last week. They got the coal tender fully painted, but rust holes haven't been bondoed or filled yet.

I've got every good news regarding Rock Island 938. During memorial day weekend, when Frisco steam locomotive 1630 was running, they moved 938 into the steam shops for a cosmetic restoration. So she won't be in this shape for too much longer, though she actually doesn't look that bad for sitting outside for this long.

Would had been a fine sight to see in operation if the engine could had been in good mechanical condition to steam as well as operating usage. :( But it still looks nice. :)

I propped my camera on the wall, tried two or three different angles, and still got a crappy shot. You took this one on the fly if i remember right, and it's perfect! Nicely done
