End-cabs are getting rare? I guess it's a good thing that the HMCR is currently planning on keeping their old (and corroding) SW9 then, even if it isn't operational nor would they have a use for it.
Also, NS likes to use MP15DCs and their MP15DC rebuilds (MP15Es and an MP21E) inside yards. However, I did also see a end-cab switchers being used for a local up in Nashville, TN last year, though I didn't get any pictures sadly.
