Are there still different locos to see in US than Dashs and GP40s? (Except the few amtrak diesels and electrics or NJ transit Traxx)

Oh yes! I have several in my gallery...but they are becoming quite rare and are mainly yard power... CP Rail did use SD40-2s through their owned ICE/DME and lessors but they are phasing this out with an increase of GEVOs.

At least some different engines =)
(But I still hope U.S. getting a higher difference of loco series in use until I get across the pond... for once!)

You'll still second/third gen power; but mostly at yard units or at smaller facilities like grain elevators or on regional road.

I remember with fondness the times my grandmother would take me into downtown Western Springs (3 blocks from her home) to watch the scoots go by when I was too young to go by myself. I can still remember the unique sound of those engines in my mind.

I wish I was born then :P BNSF's paint scheme sucks, & so do the endless parades of GEs! Ah well better than nothing I suppose. At least CP's GEs sound cool, echoing off the sides of the mountains here. Awesome shot! :D

Thank you! :D I understand, I was born after a lot of cool stuff passed too and didn't get pics. I know what you mean about BNSF's GEs they get tedious...but once I thought SD40-2s were tedious... Now I love them...I wonder someday if we'll miss Dash9-44CWs the same way... I think not, but you never know!

Yea me too, I often wonder if I'll ever seek out an AC4400CW because of how rare they might be. LOL doubt it! xD
